The fact that with the subscription you can more info for a more personalized book choice is amazing. First book choice was exactly the type of book I crave to read. Just got the 2nd month and haven't started it yet but it's an author I love and a book I had my eye on. 2 for 2! The extra goodies are also excellent. The book was good. The plot and characters were fleshed out which I don’t usually expect from romance books. This was my first box so I was happily surprised with all the snacks, teas, and skincare. I didn’t get a bookmark but that’s okay! Highly recommend this subscription. The only downside is there’s no LGBTQ+ options and I’m queer, so we’ll see.

Every book is new. They come direct from authors, publishers and distributors, get hand-picked by a real person, and are wrapped in artwork we design in-house. Already own the one we send? Tell us and we'll swap it. Not feeling it at all? You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.
Are the books new or used?
All the books we ship out are NEW and are either direct from the the publishers, authors or book distributors. We never send used books.
What if I already own the book I receive?
While we do our best to avoid common titles and keep our selections fresh, there’s always a chance you might receive a book you already own. If this happens, you can contact our customer service at support@blindlybooks.com and we'll help you start the exchange process.
How long does shipping take?
Orders typically ship within 8–10 business days. Delivery times vary by location, but most U.S. orders arrive within a week. We are a small two person team and try our best to get every order out as quickly as possible.
Can I set my reading preferences?
Yes. Tap Set reading preferences before you add to cart and tell us which genres and themes are hard nos — a genre you never reach for, or content you'd rather not read. We'll never send a book that hits one.
Your preferences travel with the order, and for book club members they carry over to every renewal, so you only set them once. You can change them any time.
Can I choose the genre? Can I change it later?
You choose. There are 11 genres to pick from, and if you'd rather we surprise you completely, Wild Card pulls from any of them.
Book club members can change genre every month, so you're never locked into one thing. Not sure which to pick? Take the book quiz and we'll suggest one.
What comes in a Blind Date box?
A brand-new hand-wrapped book, a bookmark, stickers matched to your genre, and a snack pack.
A typical snack pack might hold chips, candy, teas or a hot cocoa mix, alongside a self-care extra or two — face masks, eye masks, candles, bath and beauty bits. Packs change with the seasons, so what's inside depends on the time of year, and seasonal boxes often come with themed stickers and bookmarks too.
Make it yours. Right after checkout, or any time from your account, you can tell us about any food allergies so we keep them out of your snack pack, and choose your box style: more self-care extras, extra snacks and treats in place of the skincare, or leave it as a surprise.

When do I get my Birthday Blind Date?
Book club members get a free extra Blind Date for their birthday — a little surprise tucked into their box, in the genre of their choice or a surprise one.
When it arrives: it goes into the box that ships in your birthday month, or the one straight after. Which one depends on where your monthly renewal falls relative to your birthday, and on how early your birthday is on file.

Is this a subscription?
It can be either. Buy a single Blind Date as a one-time purchase, or join the book club and get one every month.
